Florida Challenge - Olympic/International Course

When: Sunday, June 12, 2011, 8:30 am Start!

Where: Clermont Waterfront Park, (330 3rd Street, Clermont, Florida). Clermont is centrally located just 22 miles west of Orlando at the junction of US 27 and SR 50. Major Orlando tourist attractions are only 30 minutes away and the ocean beaches are just an hour away. Orlando International Airport is 40 minutes southeast of Clermont.

Course:
Swim Course
: A 1.5K swim in picturesque Lake Minneola, designated as "Outstanding Waters" by the State of Florida. Projected water temperature: 80-82.

Bike Course: A 40K course consisting of one loop around lake Minneola and an out and back section on Cherry Lake Road.  No major elevation changes, but you will experience a few rolling hills on the Cherry Lake Road Portion. 

Run Course: A 10K out and back run on the South Lake Trail.

Eligibility: Open to individuals and two or three person relay teams.

Weather: Average temperature on race day: low 72 - high 90.

Awards:
INDIVIDUALS - Attractive awards presented to the top three overall finishers, top masters finishers, top five finishers in each age group, and the top five Clydesdale finishers (Men 200 lbs., Women 150 lbs.) ages 18-39 and 40 & over.

RELAY TEAMS - Attractive awards presented to the top three teams in each division: male, female, and co-ed.

Amenities: Participant t-shirt, race packet, swim cap, post-race refreshments, complete race results and other goodies. Official individual finishers will receive a commeroative finisher's medal.

Packet Pick-Up and Late Registration:
(Per USAT Rules, you MUST present your VALID ID/DL).
Friday: 12:00pm - 7:00pm, Waterfront Park
Saturday:
 Waterfront Park. After the Central Florida Triathlon is complete, approx 9:30am (10am - 4pm)
Sunday: 6:00am - 7:15am. Yes, we will have race day registration, check or cash only.

The Florida Challenge Triathlon is an USAT Sanctioned event.
